QUALITY ASSURANCE

Sandcastle Homecare assures quality of care and services with a full time Quality Assurance Department that focuses on:

  • On-going training of caregivers utilizing classroom and one on one techniques
  • Specialized care plans tailored to meet each client’s individual needs
  • On-site visits to observe provided care
  • Frequent contacts and communications with: the client, family members, and members of the care delivery team

Frequency of follow up is something you should demand from your home care company. Here at Sandcastle Homecare, we frequently follow up with our clients and caregivers to ensure a consistent quality of care is being provided.  This is done by meeting and interacting with a client and his or her care delivery team regularly.

Throughout our follow up interactions, the most important thing we can do is listen. Upon fully understanding the needs of a client, our attention to detail ensures that each client receives the help and support they need to remain independent for as long as possible.

FAQs

WHAT IS HOME CARE?

Home Care is an option that allows someone with special needs to stay in their home. It might be for someone who is aging, someone who is chronically ill or disabled or someone who is recovering from a surgery. Home care services include:

  • Personal care, such as assistance with getting dressed, bathing, and toileting
  • Homemaking, such as cleaning, yard work, and laundry
  • Companionship, fellowship through group activities
  • Preparing and cooking meals, and then the cleaning involved
  • Health care, such as having one’s vitals checked by a home health aide

WHO SHOULD CONSIDER HOME CARE?

Anyone needing or wanting assistance with activities of daily living should consider hiring a home care aide. Whether you’re looking for help for a couple hours a week or 24 hour live-in care, there is much value to be realized in having an aide deliver care.

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH HOME CARE OPTION IS RIGHT FOR ME AND MY FAMILY?

The truth is, it depends. When considering what the right choice is for you and your loved ones, you should consider the breadth of services offered, affordability, flexibility, company culture, reputation, ability to personalize care options, location and the overall care team’s credentials. In other words, finding a home care service is not easy, nor should it be. When it comes to family, finding the right care service is one of the most important decisions your family will ever make.

SO WHY IS SANDCASTLE THE RIGHT FIT FOR OUR FAMILY?

  • You are always able to speak directly with our staff 24/7
  • We offer personalized care plans to cater to specific needs
  • You always have the option of choosing and/or changing your caregiver
  • We offer competitive rates to ease affordability concerns
  • No long-term contracts
  • We gladly serve the families of Central Florida
  • We are licensed, insured and bonded to ensure you and your family are always protected
  • We guarantee that physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual needs are being met through our care

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

First, in order for us to determine how we may best be of service, please give us a call at 1(800) 572-0135, or feel free to request a call here: PHONE CALL REQUEST.  Based off of that conversation, we can arrange a time to schedule your free in-home assessment. That assessment will ensure that all of you and your family’s needs are being met.

ARE YOU A FRANCHISE?

No! Franchises pay hefty fees to the franchise company; instead we put that money into caregiver pay and benefits which promotes continuity within the Sandcastle team, which leads to a greater overall experience for our clients and their family.

WHAT IS YOUR SERVICE AREA?

We proudly serve the four regions: (1) Central Florida area (Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties), (2) Florida Coast area (Brevard, Volusia, and Flagler counties), (3) Jacksonville area (Duval, St. Johns, Clay, Nassau and Baker counties) and (4) The Villages (Lake, Sumter, Marian, Alachua counties)

WHY DO YOU DO THIS?

For us at Sandcastle, this is what we live for. We take great pride and pleasure in knowing that we help others live a more meaningful, independent life by making a positive difference in not only our client’s life, but the entire family’s.

WILL MY CAREGIVER SPEAK ENGLISH AND BE ABLE TO DRIVE?

Yes. Each one of our caregivers is required to be fluent in speaking and writing English, and we test to be certain. Though we require all of our caregivers be able to drive to and from their client’s homes, we do not provide transport services to clients at the moment. Our caregivers are though able to accompany a client to/from appointments, errands, etc. providing the transportation is done independent of the client or caregiver (e.g. public transportation, taxi, Uber).

HOW SOON CAN YOU START?

Depending on your needs, we can typically begin delivering care within 24 hours. Our goal is to always meet you and your family’s needs.

WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?

Another benefit of Sandcastle is that you only pay for the services and hours you require.  As every client’s needs are unique, we will be able to give you an exact bill rate at the time of assessment. Please give us a call for a general range of rates or request a brochure through email here: INFO REQUEST

DO I HAVE TO SIGN A CONTRACT FOR A CERTAIN LENGTH OF TIME?

No. With 24 hours’ notice, you can cancel service anytime.

DO I PAY THE CAREGIVER DIRECTLY?

Our caregivers are our employees, and we are responsible for their pay. We will send you an itemized bill twice a month.

WHAT FORM OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Long Term Care insurance, VA Aid and Attendance, Medicaid LTC and Veteran’s Administration authorizations.
